Sheikh Hamdan visits ATM 2026 as global travel industry gathers in Dubai
His Highness reviews new products, services and initiatives designed to enhance travel
DUBAI – His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, yesterday visited the 33rd edition of Arabian Travel Market (ATM), currently taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre.
Running until 17 September, ATM 2026 has brought together travel trade companies, organisations and institutions from the UAE and around the world, creating a major platform for tourism leaders, experts and industry stakeholders to explore new opportunities and developments shaping global travel.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was briefed by Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and Director General of the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority, on the event's key highlights and its role in bringing together leaders and experts from across the travel and tourism sector.
ATM Dubai 2026
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said Dubai's hosting of ATM 2026 reinforces the emirate's position as a leading global destination while demonstrating its ability to convene diverse tourism stakeholders under one roof.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum added that Dubai will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of travel and tourism globally, guided by an ambitious vision that anticipates opportunities and keeps pace with rapid changes across the sector.
He further shared that the emirate looks forward to ATM contributing to greater cooperation, knowledge exchange and new partnerships supporting the future of tourism in the UAE and worldwide.
Touring ATM
During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum toured several pavilions representing participating entities and companies.
These included the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Emirates, flydubai, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, Emirates and Al Rais Travel.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum reviewed a range of products, initiatives, services and projects aimed at enhancing the travel experience and supporting the continued development of the tourism sector.
The visit also highlighted opportunities to establish new partnerships, strengthen cooperation and increase travel and tourism flows between the UAE and international markets.
Travel 2040
Held under the theme “Travel 2040: Driving New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology,” ATM 2026 is examining how technology, changing traveller expectations and new approaches to business are transforming global tourism.
Artificial intelligence and digital transformation are among the key areas receiving attention at this year's event, alongside the partnerships and investment required to build a stronger and more resilient travel industry.
The event provides an integrated platform for tourism stakeholders to expand engagement, develop partnerships and strengthen business relationships across international markets.
